Each of our four Birdhouses is a cozy, thoughtfully designed hideaway: a lofted king bed above a built-in bathroom, made to use every corner well while treading lightly on the environment. They suit couples and solo travellers.
The bathroom has a solar-heated rainfall shower on a teak floor, pine from the Kibuye forests and fixtures in Muvula wood and steel. Open the lower sliding door for a toilet with a view.
For those who love to sleep up high, the lofted bed sits above the room and looks straight out to the lake. It is reached by stairs, so it suits guests who are comfortable with steps and heights. A mosquito net and privacy curtain dim the light while keeping air moving through the loft.
